Her experiences in the education sector motivated her to do an MPhil in Education from Beaconhouse National University. Additionally Ayesha has done an MPhil in Education (Educational leadership and school improvement) from the University of Cambridge as a Chevening and Cambridge Trust Scholar.
Ayesha taught Literature in English to O, A Level students at Lahore Grammar School as well as to the BA (Hons) students at The LGS International Degree Program, affiliated with the University of London.
In her capacity as a consultant Ayesha has designed the Reading and Writing Programme at the Lahore College of Arts and Sciences. Furthermore she has conducted an evaluation for the Punjab Institute of Technology Board. Ayesha has conducted several professional development workshops for teachers at both a private school and an NGO.

Farooqi has extensive experience of developing and publishing children’s literature in Urdu, gamification of pedagogical tools, and Urdu language reference works. Farooqi is the founding editor of the Online Urdu Thesaurus. He is the founder and CEO of Storykit, a program to teach Urdu language through stories and storytelling which was adopted by UNESCO and is currently being piloted by a US government department in Pakistan. He has trained teachers and students across Pakistan in storytelling. Storykit was adopted by Lahore Grammar School, Roots Millennium Schools and Lacas School System.

He is a full-time lecturer at the Musicology department of the College of Art & Design, University of Punjab, and a visiting lecturer at the National College of Arts and Queen Mary College in Lahore.

He was awarded the Address of Honour by the Santipur Municipality, West Bengal, India along with Kabi Krittibas Ojha Smriti Smarak Award by Rangapeeth Natymela (West Bengal, India) for a visual performance in December 2014. He has conducted numerous workshops across Pakistan as well as in France, India, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Dubai, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Uganda, South Korea and Indonesia. Currently, he is working on a cross-exchange program in collaboration with the Social Innovation Academy (SINA) in East Africa.
